Andy Hagon said,'This is not about you and me. It's about the survival of the Tory Party. Johnson knows it won't get through but that doesn't matter to him. He just wants to be able to say in the coming General Election that he got a new (rubbish) deal with the EU.'

Andy Hagon saw both sides saying, 'the Tories want to look tough on crime. Locking people up is their answer. The Lib Dems want tougher community sentences to be more widely used, and more to rehabilitiate offenders, supporting them so they don't want to re offend.'

John Maynard Keynes evidently said, 'When the facts change, I change my mind. What do you do?' It's clear that many people have changed their minds about Brexit and now want to Remain in the EU. Imagine buying a new TV and it doesn't do all the things it promised - you'd take it back to the shop wouldn't you?

The Liberal Democrats will continue to campaign for a regulated cannabis market in the UK, which would a robust appraoch to licensing, rather than leaving the market in the hands of criminals.

Leader of the Liberal Democrats Jo Swinson has today warned that Jeremy Corbyn could be "the biggest block to stopping a No Deal Brexit" following the Labour leadership refusing to back any interim Prime Minister but Jeremy Corbyn.

Leader of the Liberal Democrats Jo Swinson said:

"Liberal Democrats are absolutely prepared to go forward with a government of national unity. The country needs that as an insurance option to ensure we have a Prime Minister who will actually obey the rule of law and request an extension of Article 50.

"That Prime Minister could be anybody that commands the confidence of the House of Commons. Jeremy Corbyn doesn't have the numbers to command a majority and until he accepts that fact he could end up being the biggest block to stopping a No Deal Brexit.

"The Liberal Democrats remain determined to stop Brexit, because the best deal possible is the one we have right now as members of the European Union."

The Liberal Democrats will be holding their North East conference on October 12th in Hartlepool this year at National Museum of the Royal Navy. Andy Hagon, Lib Dem Spokesperson for Hartlepool said, 'We are really looking forward to Liberal Democrats from across the North East coming to see all that Hartlepool has to offer, and of course, having a particular look round the magnificent Historic Quay.'

If someone told you that there was a really important decision to make and you had three years to make it, you could probably do that couldn't you? Well not if you are the Labour Party, who can't even make a decision about Brexit.

At their Conference yesterday, Corbyn sat on the fence….. again. If he becomes PM (which seems unlikely given he's the most unpopular Opposition Leader in 45 years) he wants to get the best deal he can (although his shadow Chancellor John Mcdonnell says we can't get a better deal than the one we currently have with the EU).

Responding to Boris Johnson's speech to Conservative Party Conference, Leader of the Liberal Democrats Jo Swinson said:

"When you strip away the bluff and bluster, this was a speech by a Prime Minister who is determined to crash us out of the EU without a deal.

"Fanatically repeating 'Get Brexit Done' does not give any comfort to the cancer patient worried about accessing their medication, or the factory worker whose job is on the line. Getting Brexit done puts their lives and their jobs at risk, and that is why Liberal Democrats are working hard to stop it.

"The Liberal Democrats are determined to stop Brexit, because the best deal possible is the one we have right now as members of the European Union."

Andy said,' The Tory Government has ravaged our social infrastructure and so it is not surprising we have more people feeling lonely, and isolated, and lots of young people with time on their hands and nothing to do.'

Did you know that a Chameleon takes quite awhile to hatch, but they don't actually live very long? Mike Hill recently compared our new Brexit Party run Council to the lizard, and while the new Brexit Councillors have taken their time to evolve into Farage's latest news item, our MP will hope their time in power will also be very short lived. And why's he getting involved in this? Well, because he's worried about losing his seat to them at the next General Election.
