Labour’s Brexit mess

If someone told you that there was a really important decision to make and you had three years to make it, you could probably do that couldn't you? Well not if you are the Labour Party, who can't even make a decision about Brexit.

At their Conference yesterday, Corbyn sat on the fence….. again. If he becomes PM (which seems unlikely given he's the most unpopular Opposition Leader in 45 years) he wants to get the best deal he can (although his shadow Chancellor John Mcdonnell says we can't get a better deal than the one we currently have with the EU).

Once he's got this deal (which is unlikely given the EU reluctance to negotiate anything new), he'll then call for a referendum, and only then have a think about whether Labour will be a Remain or Leave Party, and then let you know. What a shambles.

In reality however, at the next General Election, Labour will be a Leave Party, and if you are a Hartlepool Leave voter, you'll have to choose between the Corbyn Party, the Brexit Party, or the Tories. But if you want to stop a massively damaging Brexit that will cause the North East economy to shrink by 11%, then vote for the Liberal Democrats, the biggest Remain Party.
